It became extremly hot, nearly 39°C or 102,2°F, my drawing desk is nearly boiling and my Wacom's melting away. I should copy Batgirl Yvonne Craig's counteraction, see right below... (via Pour 15 minutes d'amour)
A couple of months ago, we were invited to give a talk (by the agency of my uber-talented buddy Alex Orrelle) at the smashing Tel Aviv based Animation College. During our stay, while an evening walk in a shopping arcade, I stumbled across this beautifully crafted dromedary sculpt. 'Love this sort of cartoonish style to it.
I love drawing Teddies. Actually, there are two of them who I had the pleasure to design for a lovely project of a friend of mine. I'll post the finished pieces right here sometime in the next days. Here's the rough sketch of one of the chaps...
During my current research work on colour references for "John Starduck" (Tigobo Animation Studios) I stumbled upon this lovely production still from the late 1970s, showing Wonder Woman Lynda Carter and her stunt double Jeannie Epper. Again, great colours...
Recently, I got a bunch of mails and comments concerning a character with orange beak and horns in Pixar's Monsters University and if I probably was the designer of this very character. Unfortunately, I was not, it was the supernaturally gifted Chris Sasaki.
This here below is BTW a rough design of mine which I created a couple of years ago in connection with some development work for Red Bull. I did lots of such "peckers with horns" characters that time, they can easily mistaken for the character from Monsters, I guess.
«Florian Satzinger has a drawing style with a snap and verve that harken back to the best of classic Disney and mid 20th Century Warner Brothers animation.
The lines with which he delineates his characters zing, bounce and swoop so delightfully that they suggest lively motion even before they’re animated.
Satzinger credits Southworth as his major influence, and his work in the style of great classic hand-drawn animation shows his continuation of that tradition.»
